From an early age I have been fond of the Interaction between machines and humans, a Bachelor Degree in Computer Information Systems offered me the opportunity to understand how does a computer interact. Consequently, I focused on applications interface and I did a good experience in Web Designing, where I used the Web as a tool in order to interact with the targeted audience.

Since then, The Web has evolved rapidly over the last six to seven years; the trend of Web 2.0 or social tools and applications, have proliferated at an exponential rate. Online Social sites have become a part of many people’s lives, as well as a part of consumer culture. The media continually remind us of the evolution of user engagement with the Web and the potential positive outcomes of such online social matters.

Many online social tools and applications have become increasingly popular, such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, and many others. These sites depend on user-generated and controlled content, offering several services allowing users to share opinions, videos and photographs, chat, organize events, and provided a domain where one could make a new communication channel. These practices attract millions of individual users, this in turn attract thousands of businesses and commercial entities to utilize this new medium for the benefit of their business.

During my postgraduate degree studies I learned that the Web has changed; where the amount of social interface in the Web, nowadays, has transformed the Web from tool that serve additional purposes into a science in itself.

I used what I learned at my current job as a Web Master, leading a group of Web Designers and Web Developers, in order to employ a number of online social tools and applications to interact socially for the advantage of both the institution and its clients.
